Blackjack Switch

This variant has been offered at the Taj Majal and will be introduced at the Four Queens in Las Vegas. It is also available on-line. As implied by the name, you are permitted to trade cards between two hands. The rules which distinguish blackjack switch from the standard game are:

1) Players have to make two equal-sized bets.

2) Cards are dealt face up.

3) Players may switch the second card dealt for each hand. By way of example: if one hand has a 10 and a 6 while the other hand has a 5 and a 10, the player can trade the 10 and the 6 yielding totals of 20 and 11.

4) Blackjack switch is played with six decks.

5) The player cannot resplit.

6) The player can double after a split.

7) The player can double on any two cards.

8) Even money is paid on winning player blackjacks.

9) There is a full European no-peek rule. The player loses the total amount bet against a dealer blackjack.

10) If the dealer has a 22 total, it pushes against any player total of 21 or less. A player blackjack still beats a dealer 22.
