Roulette Strategies

There is no known 100% way to win all the time at Roulette, so the best strategy is to play as carefully as possible and start with a set maximum amount of units you wish to bet in total.

The bonus to the lack of a foolproof Roulette strategy is that casinos are generally open to any statistical patterning you might wish to choose.

The Roulette table is a circular spinning wheel. The wheel spins one direction, and the ball spins another until it stops in one of the pockets on the game wheel. There are many different ways to bet on Roulette. These bets are divided up into inside bets, and outside bets.

Outside bets are wagers placed on the color of the pocket (Red or Black), and the sort of number (Odd or Even numbers for example, Columns, and High or Low). When you break the numbers into three dozen, and guess which Column your number will land in, it’s called placing a wager on the Columns. The pay out is lower then on an inside bet, generally between 1-1 and 3-1.

Best Strategies

  • One sound piece of Roulette strategy is to find a European style Roulette table. The American style table has thirty-eight pockets, numbers 1-36, as well as the zero and double zero pockets.

  • The European style table does not have the double zero pocket. Having one less pocket greatly improves the player’s odds. The odds on a European Roulette table are 2.7% in the favor of the casino, versus 5.26% house edge on the double zero American game.

Quick Play Strategy

  • The best strategy for a quick win at Roulette entails an attempt to lower the statistical odds against yourself. In general, when people are new to the game of Roulette, they tend to place several bets at the same time. At the end of their play, they move their bets to a different number or color for their next play. Though it seems counterintuitive, you have a better statistical chance of winning at Roulette by keeping your bets in the same place.

  • If you decide to bet twenty-one units total on Roulette, the best quick strategy is to pick seven numbers and bet one unit on each. Make sure of course, to check the minimum betting level for each table. Once you’ve picked the seven numbers stay with them! If you lose, put another unit down on each seven numbers two more times. If you still loose, try another day. If you win, take the money and cash out, or put the winnings from the round and place it back onto the same seven numbers.

  • Following this strategy, you will lose at most twenty-one units, and win at best nine hundred and forty-five units.
